Rylov Arkady (1870-1939) – Russian artist, landscape writer, animal painter. He was taught by K. Krigitsky (1888-1891) and at the same time at the drawing school of Art Encouragement Society and then at the Art Academy (1894-1897)where Kuinji was his tutor. Since 1915 – he an academician of an art, since 1918 – doctor. He was the most consistent follower and developer of Kuinji’s plastic system, having created the row of bright, romantic images in painting. Rylov have been getting attached forever to the romantically high and generalizing, integral images, the lighting effects, the decorative understanding of color.

The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
