Alfred Sisley (1839-1899).
The Englishman by origin, he was born in Paris and had been living there till eighteen years. The basic genre in his creative work is the landscape. Many Sisley’s pictures charming by its clearness and melancholic sadness, skill convincingly and precisely to pass a status of the nature and the effects generated by a storm, snowfall or a fog, and thus to inform the poetic mood of an instant. He did not aspire to deliberate effects and worked as the limited palette of paints. He therefore was not counted as the original impressionist. Certainly, he did not possess Monet or Degas's scale, but among impressionists he, as well as Pissarro, created the most pacified and perfect landscapes.
