 Watteau Jean Antoine (1684-1721) - French artist.
First of all he worked in Paris where copied products of Dutch masters. In 1703-1708 he worked in K.Zhillos masterful; this period played a main role in the painters formatting. He managed to develop his own style. It was a "synthesis" of many artists and schools achievements, expressed in gentle colour, light effects and sensitive embodiment of a rare poetry atmosphere. He became popular very early; Wattos works were copied frequently, especially gallant holidays and theatrical plots.
