Vanloo Charles Andre whose nickname was Carle (1705-1765) - French artist.
In 1732-1734 he worked for a king of Sardinia and for churches. After returning in 1735 to Paris he became an academician and made the brilliant official career; the professor of Academy (1752), its rector (1754), he had been appointed by the main king’s painter (1762) and director of the Academy (since 1763 and till the end of life). He was one of the main representatives of "the big style’’, one of the most talented historical painters of XVIII century, the master of decorative compositions - pride of the French rococo.
