Хруцкий Иван Ivan Khrutsky (1810-1885) Russian painter.
In Petersburg he took lessons from English painter Dj. Dow (up to 1829), at the same time he was engaged to the Art Academy. Since 1839 – he is an academician. Khrutsky is known as the master of a still-life, but also he wrote portraits, interiors, landscapes, icons. In the first half XIX century he was the best master of a still-life – a genre to which Russian artists of that time addressed not very often. Here Khrutsky’d managed to develop his own type, being guided on samples Dutch masters of a flower still-life. The Still-lives of Khrutsky are extremely colourful and decorative

The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
