Èâàíîâ Àëåêñàíäð IVANOV Alexander Andreevich (1806-1858) - a painter, one of the representatives of Russian classicism. He studied in the Petersburg Art Academy, by his father. In 1830 as the pensioner visited Italy, Austria and Germany. In 1831 he lived in Rome. For a picture the Phenomenon of Christ Maria Magdalene (1834-1836), sent in Petersburg in quality of the pensioner’s report, was awarded a rank of the academician. In 1837-1857 Ivanov created his main picture the Phenomenon of the Christ to people.
