Êðàìñêîé Èâàí Kramskoy Ivan Nikolaevich (1837-1887) - Russian painter, graph painter, portraitist, art critic.
In 15 years age he was studied by the icon painter. In 1857 entered to the Petersburg Art Academy. In 1863 he has headed the ‘’revolt of fourteen’’ when the group of young artists has refused to write degree pictures on the set mythological plot; He was the organizer and the head of Artists Artel, one of the founders of mobile art exhibitions company. Conceptions of his pictures were significant and original. The greatest success Kramskoy achieved in portrait genre. He has embodied many figures of Russian culture.
