Ñàâðàñîâ Àëåêñåé Savrasov Aleksey Kondratievich (1830-1897) – Russian artist, landscaper. He studied at the Moscow school of Art, Sculpture and Architecture (1844-1854). In 1848 he took up the regular lessons by K.I. Rabus. In 1854 he was left for Saint-Petersburg in order to create sights of Sergievsk’s – the dacha of the great princess Maria Nikolaevna, the President of the Art Academy. He had been given the academician title for the paintings, created there. He was the founder of Russian lyrical landscape, in such his paintings as “The Rooks Return” – the lyric theme pointed as the basic of art image of nature.

Nicholas Roerich. Album, volume 2Will be available on the second volume of a unique publication dedicated to the works of Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947).
The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
