Krigitsky Konstantin Jakovlevich (1859-1911) - teacher, public figure, the long years exhibitor of mobile exhibitions, the participant of spring academic exhibitions and exhibitions of aquarellists in the Encouragement of Applied Arts Society, Krigitskiy K.J. left the big art heritage. His first lessons of painting were received at Kiev drawing school. In 1877 he entered the Petersburg Art Academy. In Academy he was shown significant successes. During 1879 and 1880 he has been awarded to four silver medals, and with a small gold for works on painting and drawing. In 1884 Krigitsky having executed the program on the big gold medal, has ended Academy with a rank of the class artist of the first degree.
