Cranach Lucas The Elder (1472-1553) German painter.
His early creative work is not known. In many Cranachs works the artists passion to grimaces, bony forms and vegetative elements is evident. The next years the manner had been found by Cranach in Wittenberg and was considered as the top of his skill, wouldnt change any more. The tendency to isolation of figures from space is observed in numerous "Venus"; all figures are allocated on modest backgrounds. From the beginning the significant role in Cranachs creativity was played by the portraits.
