Friedrich, Caspar David– (1774-1840) – the well-known German landscape writer, romantic. He studied in the Art Academy in Copenhagen at professor Nikolay Abraham Abilgora during four years. In his early pictures an influence of Claude Lorren is felt, but soon the artist developed his own landscape ideal. His compositions are full with emotions. The central idea of his creative work – the searching of free spirit.

The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
