The importance and necessity of the publication of a series of albums dedicated to the art of the outstanding Russian artist Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947) in two languages – Russian and English – are determined by the increased and ever-growing interest in the Master’s art. The second volume presents to your attention the painter’s works from museums and private collections of the world, and contains 555 plates. The details of the paintings are given according to the author’s lists, museum records, official letters and the results of examination by experts received from private collectors. The authors of the articles are noted researchers of Nicholas Roerich’s heritage, wellknown both in Russia and abroad, art historians and museum research workers: Anastasia Antonova, Anastasia Bubchikova, Natalia Cherkashina, Ludmila Korotkina, Pyotr Krylov, Irina Kuznetsova, Yevgeny Matochkin, Vladimir Melnikov, Vladimir Rosov, Xenia Rudzite, Larisa Surgina, Aida Tulskaya, Helena Uvarovskaya. The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
