The present album is the most exhaustive work dedicated to the pictorial heritage of the great Russian painter, scientist, explorer, thinker and public figure, Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947). The publication of such a considerable album in two languages — Russian and English — is of current importance due to the growing interest in the painter’s art in the world. The book is subdivided into chapters according to subject areas, and is richly illustrated (735 plates). These are the works from the largest museums of Russia, the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, and museum and private collections of India and the USA. The author of the texts is a well-known researcher of Roerich’s art, Yevgeny Matochkin.

The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
