POTTER Paulus (1625-1654). One of the greatest Dutch landscape writers and animal painters of XVII century. Potter was the founder of animal genre. He painted animals on a background of the simplified landscape; later he would address to searches of thin harmony between figures and the nature. His poetical art affected strongly, despite of a short life of the artist, on a number of great masters - animal painters.

The album was released by the publishing house "Agni" (Samara), with active cooperation of the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, as well as the Moscow Gallery Fine Arts Academy and the St. Petersburg State Museum and Institute of the Roerich Family.
