PEROV Vasily (1833/34-1882) – Russian painter, master of genre painting, portraitist, historical painter. He studied at the Arzamas school of painting (1846-1849, with breaks) and in Moscow school of painting, sculpturing and architecture (1853-1861.) Perov had gone down to history of art in 1860 as the leader of a critical direction in Russian genre painting, combining in his creative work a sympathy ‘’humiliated and offended’’ and an angry pathos of satirical accusation of authority propertying. Artist’s creativity rendered significant influence on development of Russian, first of all Moscow art of the late XIX century.
