 Ivan Khrutsky (1810-1885) Russian painter.
In Petersburg he took lessons from English painter Dj. Dow (up to 1829), at the same time he was engaged to the Art Academy. Since 1839 he is an academician. Khrutsky is known as the master of a still-life, but also he wrote portraits, interiors, landscapes, icons. In the first half XIX century he was the best master of a still-life a genre to which Russian artists of that time addressed not very often. Here Khrutskyd managed to develop his own type, being guided on samples Dutch masters of a flower still-life. The Still-lives of Khrutsky are extremely colourful and decorative
